Ekaterinburg basketball club “Uralmash” beat BC “Tambov” in the first match of the quarterfinal series of the Superleague championship.
The factory workers, who won the title of champions of the Supreliga last season and took first place in the regular season this season, were considered the clear favorites of the first match, held at the Yekaterinburg Palace of Playing Widows of Sports. Experts’ forecasts came true already in the course of the first half, which brewed with a difference of 20 points in favor of the “factory workers”.
In the third quarter, Uralmash brought the advantage to 32 points, turning the final segment into a formality. In the last quarter, the team from Tambov managed to close the gap, but this did not affect the outcome of the first quarterfinal match. The result of the meeting is 86:63 in favor of Uralmash.
The next match of the series up to three victories will also be held in Yekaterinburg on April 5. After that, the teams will move to Tambov.
