Ekaterinburg basketball club “Uralmash” beat BC “Barnaul” in the home match of the Superleague regular season.
The reigning champions of the Superleague were considered the favorites of the meeting with one of the outsiders of the tournament. Nevertheless, in the first quarter the guests managed to impose a fight on the hosts, bringing the game segment to a draw 23:23. But after the first break, the “orange-black-greens” managed to justify the status of the favorite, and by the final quarter the outcome of the match was almost a foregone conclusion – the advantage of the hosts reached 21 points.
The main intrigue at the end of the meeting was the question of whether Uralmash would be able to score one hundred points. With a score of 94:77, the “factory workers” had possession of the ball for a minute and a half, but they did not manage to get close to the three-digit mark. These are the numbers recorded by the final siren.
Thanks to the victory in this match and the defeat of the Revdinsky BC “Temp-SUMZ-UMMC”, “Uralmash” caught up with its neighbors on points. The triumvirate of leaders also includes the Moscow Runa, which Uralmash beat away November 12th.
