BC Lokomotiv-Kuban lost to CSKA in Moscow

The basketball players of the Kuban “Lokomotiv” lost to the local army team in Moscow the day before, April 1. The score of the match was 86:73 in favor of the Muscovites.

Until the third quarter the game was equal, and both teams had a chance to win. However, in the penultimate quarter, Loko blundered the army team’s breakthrough in the score and was no longer able to catch up with them. Head coach Alexander Sekulic clearly outlined the reason for his team’s defeat.

“The only reason for what happened that comes to my mind is our relaxation.” In the first half, everything was more or less under our control, but what happened next was unacceptable. Especially against CSKA in Moscow, – said Sekulic in an interview with the club press.

The defeat dropped the “railwaymen” to fourth place in the standings. The red-greens will play their next game away in Perm on April 4 against local Parma.
