A “corpse” hunger has begun in Russia – due to the sanctions imposed, doctors do not have enough cadavers (the bodies of dead people) to practice their skills, the telegram channel reports Base.
If students can get by with formalin corpses in their studies, then practicing doctors use cadavers, with which certain manipulations are carried out. They are usually employed when it is necessary to hone a new skill or use new equipment.
In Russia and before, there were not enough domestic cadavers, but they coped with the help of supplies from abroad. Thus, the United States supplies cadaver to many countries, earlier – until February 24, 2022 – supplies were also made to our country.
There are practically no offers on the market. For example, in Muslim countries or in India, the manipulation of corpses is prohibited.
For a year, new suppliers could not be found, and the teachers of the cadaver courses eventually ran out of material.
