The son of the ex-judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya, Saidi Yangulbaev, Baisangur, was put on the federal wanted list. Baisangur Yangulbaev is the younger brother of lawyer Abubakar and the creator of the 1ADAT* Telegram channel Ibragim Yangulbaev, since 2021 he has not lived in Russia. Their father, retired federal judge Saidi Yangulbaev, left Russia with his daughter in 2022 after Chechen security forces took his wife Zarema Musaeva from an apartment in Nizhny Novgorod. At first, the Chechen Interior Ministry reported that she was brought in for questioning as a witness in a fraud case, but after that, a case was opened against her for assaulting a policeman.
Since January 2022, insulin-dependent Zarema Musayeva has been in jail. Her son Abubakar said that during this time his mother’s health problems worsened and, in particular, her eyesight worsened. In January 2023, Abubakar Yangulbaev recorded a video message in which he offered the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, to exchange himself for his mother.

Ramzan Kadyrov called the Yangulbaev family “terrorists with false and filthy tongues” and called for the return of members of this family to Russia, otherwise he threatened to “find and destroy” them.
