The commander of the “Vostok” battalion of the DPR, Alexander Khodakovsky, announced the unusual activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area controlled by the fighters of his unit.
“Last night, the enemy in our sector suddenly went berserk,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Khodakovsky, the Ukrainian troops began to “shoot from everything that shoots.”
At the same time, the battalion commander stressed, the shelling stopped suddenly, as it had begun.
“There was such an impression that someone decided to challenge the upcoming Christmas and impose their own tone,” the DPR battalion commander expressed the opinion.
He recalled that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky opposed Russia’s initiative to establish a festive truce.
Earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on Donetsk on January 6 immediately after the introduction of the Christmas ceasefire by the RF Armed Forces.
