The head of the ICR, Alexander Bastrykin, said that the ICR notes the facts of “group attacks by migrants in order to humiliate Russians.” According to him, after the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, crime in this category of the population increased. According to him, crime is “younger”. He also noted an increase in the number of extremist crimes.
“A general rise in crime is taking place. We note a trend when grave and especially grave crimes are committed by children. There is a trend towards an increase in extremist crimes committed by young people,” he said.
Yesterday, May 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree amending the Concept of Migration Policy for 2019–2025. Among other things, it contains a clause on simplifying the procedure for acquiring Russian citizenship for those permanently residing in the country and having at least one parent with a Russian passport, as well as for foreign native speakers of the Russian language – citizens of Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Moldova.
