As part of the group stage of the championship of the Central Federal District “IES – BASKET” of group “C”, the basketball players of lyceum No. 40 from Orel faced two strong opponents and, despite the defeats, showed a good game.
The first meeting with the team from the Smolensk region ended with a score of 58:62 in favor of the opponents. The next match against a team from the Moscow region (Lyubertsy) was incredibly tense. Although our basketball players fought until the last second, they lost by only two points, the final score was 66:68.
According to the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Oryol Region, today it will become known which teams from the Central Federal District will take part in the Superfinal of the IES-BASKET ShBL Championship.
