Bashkir athlete set a world record on the obstacle course

In Belarus, from August 16 to 21, the city of Brest hosted the XI World Championship among boys and juniors and the VII World Championship among girls and juniors in fire and rescue sports. Teams from five countries fought for the victory, while three athletes from Bashkortostan competed for the Russian team: Dayana Nafikova, Maxim Lutsenko and Tagir Nafikov.
The Russian team won the championship among boys, and the girls won silver medals. At the same time, representatives of Bashkiria won seven gold and two silver medals.
Dayana Nafikova set a world record by clearing the obstacle course in 16.33 seconds. The girl became the absolute champion among girls of the middle age group, won gold medals in the assault ladder climb, obstacle course and fire relay race, and also took second place in the combat deployment discipline.
Tagir Nafikov took first place in the assault ladder and obstacle course, and Maxim Lutsenko won gold in the fire relay and combat deployment, silver in the obstacle course.
