Ballerina Liepa commented on the threat of deprivation of her Lithuanian citizenship

Russian ballerina Ilze Liepa commented on the statement of the Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs about depriving her of Lithuanian citizenship.

The artist said that she loves the country in which she was born. If this is a problem for the Lithuanian authorities, then they cannot do anything about it.

Earlier it became known that the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ordered the Department of Migration to take up the procedure to deprive the ballerina of the country’s citizenship. This decision was made due to Liepa’s statements, which, according to the Lithuanian authorities, discredit the state.

The ballerina publicly condemned the behavior of the Baltic countries and expressed support for Russia in the conflict with Ukraine.
