Balitsky ruled out the impact of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP on the operation of the ZNPP

The destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP will not affect the operation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP even if the water level in the storage facility drops below 10 m. About this in an interview with RIA Novosti informed Acting Governor Yevgeny Balitsky on the fields SPIEF.

“Today, it is safe to say that this environmental disaster does not affect the work of [Запорожской атомной] stations. In this case, we refer to the conclusion of experts,” he said.

Earlier, Acting Governor Vladimir Saldo said that the restoration of the hydroelectric power station required 1.5-2 years and 200 billion rubles. After the incident, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Kyiv had committed a deliberate sabotage, and stressed that the Russian side denied accusations that it was allegedly involved in this incident.
