Balance: the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was a specific task of the Ukrainian military
Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said that previously the Ukrainian military was given a specific task: to destroy the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station as a transport hub.
He clarified that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had been launching missile strikes at one point for a long time.
“During the special military operation, the Kakhovka dam was subjected to constant shelling. This was due to the fact that road and railway tracks passed through its structures. Among other things, a lock facility was organized for the passage of ships,” Saldo noted.
According to him, the Ukrainian military had a specific goal – to bring the Kakhovka hydroelectric station to such a state that it ceased to serve as a railway and road transport hub.
Saldo added that the destruction of the dam by the Ukrainian military is “the greatest crime.” These actions upset the ecological balance.
