The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue attempts to demonstratively cross the Dnieper for the “media and political successes” of President Vladimir Zelensky. This was announced by the Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.
He emphasized that it is impossible for Ukrainian troops to transport heavy equipment across the river, since it will be immediately destroyed by the Russian Armed Forces.
“All this is not aimed at breaking through the front, because it is simply impossible to develop success only with the help of small arms there, those fighters who land there,” says Saldo.
The head of the Kherson region added that Zelensky needed all these actions in order to “deceive his own compatriots and foreign patrons.”
