Bailiffs promised not to collect debts from flood victims yet

Over the next two months, the Federal Bailiff Service will not work to collect debts from citizens who live in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation affected by the big water. The press service of the department reported this on Friday, April 12.
They emphasized that enforcement proceedings against debtors will be postponed based on information provided from the administrations of cities and districts, municipalities and other authorized bodies.
Residents of flooded areas can themselves contact local authorities or FSSP branches on this issue – measures to defer penalties will be taken.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, who personally flew around the regions most affected by the rampant disaster, explained what caused such heavy floods. The minister clarified that in the Russian Federation currently More than 10 thousand residential buildings were flooded.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that “in some places the water has not yet arrived, in others it has not left yet.” However, “already now we need to think about restoring housingfirst of all housing, but also infrastructure, of course.”
