When it comes to Thomas Bach, for some reason, I recall the information that once flashed that a certain judge of the Supreme Court of Sweden was caught stealing meatballs from a store. I don’t know if she has been eating them since then, but I would like to think that she doesn’t decide fate.

And the president of the International Olympic Committee administers. And steal daily. It would be better, of course, meatballs, but he swung at the global – at fate. Probably, it can go down in history as the spider of world sports. Continues to entangle with words, allowing a powerful collapse.

They say that the spider web is always much larger than is required to catch the conditional torment, both birds and snakes get entangled in it. And the spider of them, large ones, also pumps more poison. So there are so many of them in world sports today that it is impossible to squeeze out our athletes someday by a simple act of admitting our athletes to international competitions.

The president of the IOC allowed the poison to spread. And Thomas Bach has long been offered to use the Olympic Charter like toilet paper. I, of course, softened the expression.

Thomas Bach really wants to be good in the eyes of the world. But he violates the main rule of athletes: do not cheer against someone. But who has been talking about the IOC dilemma for a month now. Like, the only way to protect the humanitarian mission of the unification of sports is to recommend that athletes be excluded from competitions based on their nationality. And he chews for those who still do not understand: I had to take such a step, because “national governments began to interfere in the affairs of sports organizations, deciding who to let into the country to participate in international competitions, and putting pressure on the national Olympic committees and athletes.” And this, he complains, violates the integrity and honesty of international competitions.

That is, the IOC recognizes the intervention of governments – and everyone knows which ones – in its affairs. But he doesn’t argue. On the other hand, he “works” hard and every day, according to the president’s own admission, in the field of human rights. There is even a special action plan that the IOC is developing for three years. For example, according to the plan, the Olympic forest network is being created. “Within a month, we will plant the first trees in the Olympic Forest. Of course, the essence of our projects is not to create the Olympic Forest. The point is to restore those places that have suffered from human activities.

It’s funny to you? Well, having destroyed, destroyed, trampled on the Olympic values, can you at least plant trees?

And how to restore what Bach managed to chop into chips? The “safety” of athletes has turned into hatred that shoots without regard to the rules. Having allowed politics into sports, without nipping in the bud the methods of blackmail (not participating in the conference, not coming to the tournament if Russian athletes are performing), Bach lit the green light for boycotts. (Well, if only they don’t want to croak, but in the history of sports there was also the tragedy of the Olympic Munich-1972.) But he himself, who missed the Games-80 as an athlete, was always against them. He said that boycotts in sports do not give anything, “except for the pain for the athletes and the population of the boycotting country, which is deprived of the opportunity to share the pride and success with their Olympic team.”

Now Thomas Bach agrees to the pain. Alien. He provoked her himself.

Probably, no one with a different position would have sat in the chair of the IOC President today. It’s a shame that we seemed to know Bach well: he went to visit, drank tea, once called the Olympic Games in Sochi the best in history, even received awards in Russia. And now he cares about the fate of world sports, not allowing himself to be told, like, for example, the Minister of Sports of Great Britain, that Russia is an outcast on the world sports arena, but keeping these words in mind.

He just said again that he was thinking about the future. Like, now is not the time to allow Russia to start, but we must think in the long term. “And our mission is to bring athletes from all over the planet together in peaceful competition, even if their countries are in conflict.” Examples (those that were pointed out to him for a long time, asking why in those cases sports remained out of politics?) He cites: after all, Israelis and Palestinians, Armenians and Azerbaijanis, athletes from Yemen and Saudi Arabia, Libya and France compete with each other … “Competing only like-minded countries can be a great sporting event, but it is not a symbol of peace.”

Come on? No, one could only rejoice at Bach’s enlightenment. But the bifurcation of his consciousness immediately loops a sensible thought with the usual: “However, as I said, now is not the time …”.

And Bach also said something that, probably, he himself has not yet comprehended. Otherwise, he would not have got excited so clearly, substituting himself. “Our principles are that everyone should have access to sport without discrimination.” Do you think it’s about suspended athletes? Also, to complete the picture: “We recommend that international federations follow two procedures: talk to everyone involved with women, transgender people, human rights experts, scientists, doctors, and, based on science, decide where honesty ends and begins. the game”.

That is, each of the transgender people should have access to sports without discrimination. Then everything will be fair. Here it is, as it turns out. One is tempted to ask: what if a transgender from Russia happens in world sports? Bach will be embarrassed or what? But this is a hypothetical question, but this is how: the principles have been voiced, the “fair play” of the IOC is in action.
