Ice show director Ilya Averbukh spoke about the condition of Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov, who continues treatment at the clinic after a series of amputations, reports website KP.RU.

“As for Roman’s condition, there are slight improvements at the moment,” Averbukh said, adding that all his friends and relatives “keep their fists, pray and believe.”

According to Averbukh, Kostomarov’s sepsis has stopped progressing, but the athlete still has not fully regained consciousness.

Averbukh also expressed words of admiration to the wife of the figure skater Oksana, on whose shoulders many trials fell, but she continues to support her husband.

Recall that on January 10, Roman Kostomarov was admitted to intensive care with pneumonia. Then he began to have sepsis, his condition deteriorated sharply and the doctors had to amputate part of the figure skater’s leg and several fingers on his hands.
