Honored coach of Russia in figure skating Natalya Dubinskaya died at the age of 74. This was reported by her son, coach Denis Samokhin. Natalya Dubinskaya has coached many famous figure skaters, including Ilya Averbukh and Kamila Valieva.

Natalia Dubinskaya suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis for four years.

The Russian Figure Skating Federation expressed condolences over the death of the coach.

Natalya Dubinskaya was the champion of the RSFSR among junior singles (1963), the silver medalist of the RSFSR championship among juniors in pair skating (1964), and more than once became the winner and medalist of the Moscow Region championship in single skating. Graduated from the Smolensk State Institute of Physical Culture. She worked at the Elektrostal Youth Sports School and at the Moskvich sports school, which was led by the Honored Coach of the USSR and Russia Viktor Kudryavtsev, who trained the first domestic world champion in men’s single skating, Sergei Volkov. Later she trained figure skaters at the Lokomotiv stadium skating rink, where Svetlana Panova, Alexander Uspensky, and Alexander Shubin trained.
