Avangard head coach: “Ak Bars have a lot of strong forwards besides Radulov”

Avangard head coach Mikhail Kravets after the team’s open training on March 30 also assessed the future opponent. According to him, while in the playoffs, Ak Bars showed its typical game in both rounds – with Neftekhimik and Admiral.

As the mentor notes, the Bars had the same system and tactics in both rounds of the current playoffs – with the teams of Nizhnekamsk and Vladivostok.

“Their main weapon is pressure, arrogance, play in the majority. Game by score – the team completes the task within 60 minutes, I think that nothing has changed, ”Kravets said.

Also, the journalists asked the coach, which of the attacking Volzhans is the most dangerous besides Alexander Radulov.

According to the mentor, there is no need to be afraid of anyone in Ak Bars. It is also not worth it to patronize especially strongly. But without the same Radulov, Kazan has enough strong players who can, at the right time, decide the situation in favor of their own.

“Therefore, we need to play tighter with any Ak Bars player, give them less time so that they can use their technique,” ​​the coach said.

At the same time, Kravets was not surprised by the fact that in the 1/8 and 1/4 finals, Ak Bars lost four times to rivals seemingly “lower class” – Neftekhimik and Admiral.

“It’s strange to call teams “lower class”. Yes, they have a smaller budget and players play for a different salary, but I think that in one team and in another there are players who could play in other teams. Now, this season, there are no outsiders,” the coach emphasized.

All played teams-rivals of Kazan showed themselves at a good level, continued Kravets. The most important thing is that these teams never gave up, tried to organize the fight, solve the situation in the majority, fought at good speeds. And in general, they put up good resistance.
