Omsk hockey club Avangard beat Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in the fifth match of the Gagarin Cup quarterfinal series. The meeting took place in Omsk and ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of Avangard.

For the hosts, Tomas Jurcho, Ryan Spooner, Semyon Chistyakov and Reed Boucher scored goals against the opponent. Maxim Berezkin and Maxim Shalunov distinguished themselves for the railway workers.

Lokomotiv still maintains the lead in the series with a score of 3:2. The sixth match of the series, which could be decisive, will take place on March 28 in Yaroslavl. The team that achieves four wins will win the series.
