In 2024, the government will not skip indexing the salaries of military personnel and law enforcement officers. This is reported by RBC with reference to amendments to the second reading of the draft federal budget for 2024 and the planning period of 2025 and 2026.

The amendments propose to exclude from the draft clauses on non-indexation of allowances for military personnel, employees of internal affairs bodies, employees of enforcement agencies and bodies of the penal system, employees of the State Fire Service and customs authorities. The document is scheduled to be considered tomorrow, November 15.

Draft federal budget for 2024 and planning period 2025–2026 government contributed to the State Duma on September 27. On October 26 he passed first reading. In the same month, the State Duma in the first reading adopted a bill on the refusal to index the salaries of judges, civil servants, police officers, and military officers in 2024. First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Construction Daniil Bessarabov on the day of consideration of the project saidthat the possibility of leaving the indexation of salaries of military personnel and persons equivalent to them is being discussed.

This year indexation Was held for officials, state employees, civilian personnel of military units, as well as for the president, Prosecutor General and Chairman of the Investigative Committee.
