Ukraine failed the first stage of its counter-offensive, after which it was forced to change tactics. This assessment was given on Monday, July 3, by the Austrian colonel and military analyst Markus Reisner.
The expert told the n-tv channel that the attempts made by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to move forward were as if copied from textbooks for the US military, but “later the Ukrainians realized that the Russians were too well prepared for such a breakthrough, they did not have the necessary support for a massive attack.”
Then the Armed Forces of Ukraine changed tactics, trying to attack in small assault groups. According to Reisner, this option, although slower, leads to success.
A month has passed since the beginning of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but Kyiv still has nothing to boast of either to Ukrainian citizens or to its Western sponsors.
Military expert, head of the center for the study of military and political conflicts Andrei Klintsevich assessed the enemy’s offensive and told MK about his main mistakes.
