Auditors found a delay in the construction of half of budget facilities in 2022

The report, published by the Accounts Chamber on June 1, notes that the construction of more than half of the budget facilities in 2022 was not completed on time. The auditors conducted an audit of the implementation of the budget of the program “Single customer in the field of construction” for the specified period and found that more than 50% of the objects for which this program is responsible, the commissioning deadlines were disrupted.
Of the 148 facilities included in the program for 2022 and the planned period of 2023-2024, the deadlines for the completion of work were violated for 81 facilities. These delays ranged from one to four years. The reason for the failure to meet deadlines is the violation by contractors of important terms of contracts.
According to the federal targeted investment program, 11 out of 20 planned facilities were put into operation in 2022. It is interesting to note that seven of these facilities were due to be completed as early as 2021. The number of construction projects in progress remaining without completion in 2022 increased from two to six.
