Athletes of the Khabarovsk Territory began preparing for the Russian Judo Tour tournament

The regional government reported that one of the largest tournaments of this season, the stage of the Russian Judo Tour professional series, will start very soon, and the athletes of the region are already actively preparing for their fights. The tournament will be held at the Platinum Arena on April 1 and 2.
About 400 strongest athletes from Russia and friendly countries will take part in the competition. It is currently known that fighters from Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan, India and Mongolia will perform. Negotiations with athletes from China are still underway.
– This is a grandiose event for the Far East and our entire country. Holding such a level of competition with us is a plus for athletes not only in the Khabarovsk Territory, but also in neighboring regions. They can try their hand at competitions of a very high level, prove themselves in the fight against the strongest. Our wrestlers have few such tournaments in their practice, so holding the Russian Judo Tour is a big step both for the athletes themselves and for the development of judo in the region, – said Representative of the Russian Judo Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Irina Rodina.
Fighters will be judged in 14 weight categories. The preliminary fights will take place first, and the final will take place in the evening.
