Yamal athletes won several more medals at the Russian Powerlifting Cup, the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported on October 17.
“Levon Tavakalov from Noyabrsk won gold in the 120 kilogram weight category and silver in the overall classification in the Classic Eventing discipline. The athlete represents the Altis sports school, the coach is Ivan Goryachev. Alexey Richter from Tarko-Sale won the silver medal in the 66 kg weight category in the “Press” discipline. He trains at the Geologist sports school under the leadership of Victoria Poltoratskaya,” the message says.
Ivan Goryachev from Noyabrsk is also on the second step of the podium. He won the award in the 120 kg weight category in the “Press” discipline. This is an athlete from the Altis school, coach Levon Tavakalov.
The Yamal men’s team took second place in the team competition in the “Press” discipline. The competition takes place from October 9 to October 18 in Tula.
Let us remind you that these are not the first medals Yamal athletes at competitions in Tula. Recently, Ivan Goryachev competed in the 120 kg weight category among men and won a gold medal. Anna Goryacheva won the silver medal in the 57 kg category among women.
