Athletes from the DPRK will take part in competitions in Primorye – Kommersant

During his visit to Pyongyang, Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako agreed on the participation of athletes from North Korea in the first international winter sports games “Children of Primorye”, which will be held next February in Vladivostok.
“The head of the department of international relations of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the DPRK, Bae Hyun Ok, said that the Korean side intends to send seven guys to Vladivostok: three of them will compete for victory in figure skating, another four in short track,” informs press service government of Primorye.
The first international winter sports games “Children of Primorye” will be held from February 18 to 23, 2024. More than 1.5 thousand people from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, Belarus, and China are expected to take part in the competition.
“We work in Pyongyang. This is the first visit after a long break caused by the pandemic. Our delegation’s program includes many meetings to develop humanitarian ties between Primorye and the DPRK. First of all, in the field of culture, tourism and sports,”— reported Mr. Kozhemyako.
Yesterday it became known that the Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako led a delegation of regional officials arrived on a working visit to the capital of the DPRK, Pyongyang.
