Athletes from the Arkhangelsk region won six medals at the Russian Powerlifting Cup

Athletes from the Arkhangelsk region successfully performed at the All-Russian powerlifting competitions in Tula. The National Cup brought together more than 400 of the strongest athletes from 64 regions of the country. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Sports.
In the national powerlifting (classical eventing) cup in the weight category up to 47 kilograms, Master of Sports of Russia Evgenia Maksimova won a silver medal. In the bench press discipline, Margarita Guzarevich also took second place on the podium.
Bronze medals of the cup were won by Sofia Shumilova, Daria Gordienko, Svetlana Myshelovskaya and Sofia Teplyakova, who also fulfilled the standard of an international master of sports of Russia for the first time.
