In Polyarnye Zori, the championship and championship of the Northwestern Federal District in alpine skiing was held. Athletes from the Murmansk region showed themselves well at them.
On Wednesday, February 1, the press service of the government of the Murmansk region reported on the results of the alpine skiing competitions that took place at the Salma ski resort in Polyarnye Zori.
More than 80 athletes from the Murmansk region, St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region and Karelia took part in the races.
According to the results of competitions in the discipline of giant slalom among women, the entire podium was left for athletes from the Arctic. Sofya Rydkina won the gold medal, Vitaly Kazakova won the silver medal, and Anastasia Minaeva became the third, who also showed the best result in the slalom discipline.
Among other high achievements of polar athletes at these competitions are four gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
