Three teams of the regional sports school in technical sports became gold and silver medalists of the competition “RISCUP 2023: Cup of Russia in wind tunnel disciplines of parachuting”. 261 athletes from 25 regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus fought for the medals of the tournament, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.
In the vertical acrobatics of the two, the INTER class Sakhalinians took two prizes: the gold was won by the Sky Lights team (Daria Demeshina, Elizaveta Korneichuk), and the silver was won by the Bright Stars team (Elena Demeshina, Veronika Tyagusheva). Girls with a large margin ahead of rivals from the Tula and Moscow regions, and also confirmed the first adult category.
In the vertical acrobatics of the deuce class A, the island team “Monsoons” (Nikita Koba, Artem Maev) became the leader. The guys were on an equal footing with the teams of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory until the very end, but they made every effort and won. The athletes also confirmed the CCM category.
In the most prestigious OPEN class, a tense struggle also flared up between the deuces.
“The graduates of our school, perhaps, did not have enough sports luck, or maybe the guys could not cope with their emotions during the performance, according to the results of which the Aerodinamika New team (Artem Gudz and Valery Senchuk) took fourth place with a minimum separation from bronze. We are confident that next time the athletes will be among the winners.
