Athletes from Labytnangi took the main prizes of the governor’s “Polar Ski Track” in Salekhard

On April 7, at the ski base in Salekhard, athletes went to the start of the district marathon “Polar Ski Track” for the prizes of the governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The winners were announced by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Salekhard Administration.

This year, the ski race brought together 187 athletes from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Komi, Yakutia, Udmurtia and the Yaroslavl region. Participants in the “Polar Ski Track” ran distances from five to 50 kilometers, depending on age and gender; for women, the maximum distance was 30 kilometers.

Among the men who covered 50 kilometers, the winner was Dmitry Abashev from Labytnanga. In second place is Viktor Plitsev from Labytnanga, in third place is Rustam Kayumov, a resident of the city of Seven Larchs.

Participants from Labytnangi also won the women’s competition. Kristina Tokareva took first place, Antonina Kirsanova – second, Elizaveta Romanova – third.

The main prize of the marathon is 120 thousand rubles. It went to the fastest athlete who came to the finish line first in a 50-kilometer distance. The silver medalist of the competition received 100 thousand rubles, the bronze – 80 thousand.

The winners and runners-up were awarded cups and medals in 14 age categories.
