The Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Evgeny Kuyvashev, signed an order to hold several international competitions at the Aist ski jumping complex in Nizhny Tagil. This is reported by the Department of Information Policy of the region.

From 9 to 13 March there will be Nordic combined competitions for men and ski jumping competitions for men and women. From 23 to 27 November – women’s ski jumping competition. From November 30 to December 4 – competitions in ski jumping among men.

Evgeny Kuyvashev instructed to create an organizing committee to prepare for the competition.

According to the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Sverdlovsk Region Leonid Rapoport, 232 athletes from Russia and Kazakhstan are planning to take part in the competitions, which will be held from March 9 to 13. Confirmation of participation from representatives of Turkey, China and Korea is also expected.

Silver medalists of the Olympic Games in Beijing Evgeny Klimov, Irina Avvakumova, Danil Sadreev, Irma Makhinya, representatives of the Sverdlovsk region Ilya Mankov and Kristina Prokopyeva will take part in the competition.

Earlier, MK-Ural reported that in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the Russian championship in sports sambo among boys and girls and in combat sambo among boys began. Competitions at the Palace of Sambo and Martial Arts will run until February 16.
