Athletes from Kabardino-Balkaria brought medals from the World Grappling Championships

The Championship and World Championships in wrestling (grappling and grappling-gi) are being held in Krasnogorsk. Athletes from India, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Algeria, Uzbekistan and Russia – over 1000 people – take part in the competition.
On the first day of competition, a native of Kabardino-Balkaria, Murat Khasanov, competing as part of the national team, successfully completed 4 bouts and became the world champion in the weight category up to 92 kg, the press service of the republican government reported.
An athlete from Kabardino-Balkaria, Alim Meshev, also won the bronze medal in the 62 kg weight category. The winner is trained by Ruslan Shukhostanov.
It was previously reported that an athlete from the KBR took silver at the All-Russian Student Games.
