Athlete’s Day in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug was celebrated with a hike and a run

And not only: for lovers of physical culture, competitions in various sports, open training, a hiking trip and an athletics race were held that day. More than 100 people took part in the holiday of sports and health. The events were held with the support of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography”, reports the portal of state bodies of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

As part of the celebration of the Day of the Athlete, competitions were held in mini-football, 3×3 basketball, armwrestling, streetlifting and table tennis. Also, for sports fans, an athletics race and an open training session “Fitness Mix” were held.

– Athlete’s Day is a large mass event that has been held only in Russia since 1939. He introduces people to physical education and sports. The number of sports fans in the region is growing every year. Congratulations to all residents of the district on the holiday! – said the organizer of the event, deputy director for sports work of the Sports School of the Olympic Reserve “Trud” Yevgeny Shestakov.
