Elena Tretyakova, a pupil of the Avangard Olympic reserve sports school from Tarko-Sale, can go to Paris for the Paralympic Games. The northerner will get a chance to compete at the Paralympics in 2024 if the Russians are allowed to compete, the YNAO Department of Physical Education and Sports reported on August 30.
“Elena Tretyakova from Tarko-Sale was included in the rating list of 160 results from the Paralympic Games in athletics, on the basis of which she is qualifying for the Paralympic Games in Paris. Athletics competitions, held in Cheboksary from August 11 to 16 as part of the Summer Paralympic Games, were included in the competition calendar of the International Paralympic Committee, where Elena Tretyakova won gold in the long jump discipline and silver in the 100 meters.
The 2024 Paralympic Games will be held in Paris from 28 August to 8 September. The issue of admission of Russian athletes to the competition will be considered on September 27 this year at the IPC General Assembly.
