Athlete from Petrozavodsk took fifth place at the Russian Championship

Yuliya Andrianova, a student of Petrozavodsk secondary school No. 3, entered the top five at the Russian All-Athletics Championship. The competitions were held on February 19 in Smolensk and brought together more than 40 strongest athletes from all over the country.
The girls tried to show decent results in five disciplines: shot put, high jump and long jump, 800-meter run and 60-meter hurdles. Julia, having passed all these tests, received 3646 points and took fifth place.
The administration of Petrozavodsk stressed that last week another city dweller, Arina Sorokina, traveled to Togliatti for the Russian championship. There, the athlete managed to take fourth place in the shot put. Her result was 12.39 meters.
