Athlete from Chuvashia Marina Kuleshova won the gold medal of the Russian championship in the age category up to 20 years, winning the 800 m race.
She covered the distance in 2 minutes 16.75 seconds, almost seven seconds ahead of Natalia Sannikova from Mari El, who came second (2:23.68). Another athlete from Chuvashia, Daria Smirnova (2:23.76), won bronze in the same discipline.
In addition, Daniil Bondarenko, representing Chuvashia, became the silver medalist of the championship in the 60 m race (7.09 seconds).
The 2024 Russian Indoor Athletics Championships will be hosted by Ulyanovsk.
