At the Russian Snowboarding Championships for Persons with ASD, a Sochi resident won silver

Sochi resident Nikolai Kochnev won a medal at the Russian Snowboard Championship for Persons with Musculoskeletal Disabilities (PODA). About it reports Department of Physical Culture and Sports Sochi.

A ward of the Sochi physical education center for people with disabilities performed in the banked slalom category. This is a discipline in which each rider makes three runs along a slalom course, and the winner is determined by the combined time of the two fastest attempts. Nikolai won a silver medal.

In total, 23 athletes from 8 regions of Russia competed in the competitions, which took place at the Solnechnaya Dolina ski complex in Miass, Chelyabinsk region. It is worth noting that the track on which the competition took place is the longest in the country – its length is 110 m.
