AT: The Pentagon groundlessly accused the Russian Federation of plans to spread the conflict to Europe

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin groundlessly accused Russia of the possible expansion of the conflict beyond the territory of Ukraine – to Europe. This opinion is expressed by Asia Times columnists.
The publication notes that “Austin imagined a threat in the form that Russia, having finished with Ukraine, would begin attacks on Europe.”
However, journalists emphasize, “there is objectively no evidence that Moscow is threatening anyone in the EU.”
Earlier, US President Joe Biden tried to intimidate congressmen to force them to agree on the allocation of additional funds to finance military assistance to Ukraine. The politician said that Russia would attack NATO countries after winning its special military operation in Ukraine. In Moscow they called in response don’t demonize Russia.
This was preceded by a statement by the head of the Polish National Security Bureau, Jacek Seviera, that in three years the North Atlantic Alliance must be ready for a direct war with Russia. In his opinion, the time has come to create a potential on NATO’s eastern flank that would send a clear signal containment of Russian “aggression”.
