During the conflict between the audience at the play “Swan Lake” at the Mariinsky Theater, a woman used pepper spray. The conflict arose due to the fact that they tried to take away her mobile phone, through the camera of which she watched the performance, the source said. “RIA News” in law enforcement agencies. “Swan Lake” had to be interrupted, three people asked for medical help, the Mariinsky Theater reported.

Then the performance continued, with the policeman dealing with the woman who sprayed pepper gas. During the break, additional enhanced ventilation was turned on in the hall, no one needed hospitalization.

“The theater is conducting an official check on how a spectator was able to carry a pepper spray into the theater building,” the theater also said.

A woman and her daughter in row 16 were watching Swan Lake through cell phone cameras to get a better view of what was happening on stage, a law enforcement source said. Other spectators tried to take away their phones, in response to which the woman sprayed gas. Together with her, her daughter was brought to the police for investigation, the source said.
