“The theater is conducting an official check on how a spectator was able to carry a pepper spray into the theater building,” the theater also said.

A woman and her daughter in row 16 were watching Swan Lake through cell phone cameras to get a better view of what was happening on stage, a law enforcement source said. Other spectators tried to take away their phones, in response to which the woman sprayed gas. Together with her, her daughter was brought to the police for investigation, the source said.
