For the week from September 21 to 28, sales of military boots and body armor on domestic marketplaces increased by 2.5 times. This was reported “RIA News” with reference to the study of the Sellematics service.

According to Sellematics, sales of military boots for the week from September 21 to September 28 on Ozon grew 3.3 times, on Wildberries – 2.5 times. Sales of balaclavas also grew — 3.2 times on Ozon and 1.8 times on Wildberries.

In the week after the announcement of the mobilization, the demand for bulletproof vests also increased. From September 21 to September 28, Ozon sold 1330 body armor, which is 3.2 times more than a week earlier. Wildberries bought 540 body armor, 2.1 times more than a week earlier.

At the same time, sales of sleeping bags grew only on Wildberries. According to Sellematics, 3,000 sleeping bags were sold on this marketplace, which is 2.2 times more than a week earlier. Sleeping bag sales on Ozon fell 1.2 times.

“Demand for equipment increased across all marketplaces immediately after the announcement of partial mobilization. As a result, the average price for all positions rose by about 1.2 times, for some categories of goods the growth turned out to be multiple. I don’t think that this is due to speculation on high demand, it’s just that usually the cheapest positions are sold out in the first days, and suppliers do not always have time to replenish the stock, ”the Sellematics press service quotes the words of the company’s director Daria Tkachenko.

On September 21, partial mobilization began in Russia. After that, messages began to appear on the network that citizens called up for military service were advised to take their own uniforms with them.
