The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, said that at the Verkhny Lars checkpoint (checkpoint) they would hand over subpoenas to citizens who are subject to conscription according to the lists of the Russian Defense Ministry. “Handing the summons does not mean that a person is immediately taken to the recruiting station. However, everyone must understand that if he is on the list of citizens who are subject to partial mobilization in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, that failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment office will entail the consequences prescribed by law – up to criminal liability, ”said Mr. Menyailo, his words given on the official portal government of the republic. He noted that the procedure for issuing summonses will be carried out in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It is noted that the decision to restrict entry into the territory of North Ossetia is associated with a large accumulation of cars and citizens on the border of Russia and Georgia. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, from September 25 to 27, 20,248 Russian citizens entered Georgia through Upper Lars. Earlier today, on September 27, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that about 5.5 thousand cars were waiting to cross the Russian-Georgian border.

The number of Russian citizens traveling to Georgia increased after ads by the President of partial mobilization on 21 September.
