At Norilsk airport the plane skidded off the runway

A Nordstar airline plane skidded off the runway at Norilsk airport in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. There were 169 passengers on board, reports West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office. There is no information about casualties.
According to the department, the incident occurred around 10:00 local time (6:00 Moscow time). The Boeing-737-800 aircraft operated from Krasnoyarsk to Norilsk. What caused the emergency is unknown. The prosecutor’s office clarified that the aircraft will be towed to the parking area and an investigation has begun.
Three times in 2023, planes rolled out of bounds at the Perm Bolshoye Savino airport. Latest similar incident happened in October. According to investigators, the cause of the emergency could have been unfavorable weather conditions.
