Astrophysicists: 2.5 million years ago, the star HD 7977 flew near the Sun
An international team of astrophysicists has come to the conclusion that approximately 2.47 million years ago, the star HD 7977, which came close to the Solar System, found itself at a distance from the Sun that was only several thousand times greater than the distance from the Sun to the Earth. This is hundreds of times less than the modern distance to the stars closest to the Sun.
Astrophysicists have suggested a recent, by cosmic standards, approach to another star after analyzing data from the Gaia survey.
