Astronomers have found the oldest black hole

American and European astrophysicists working with the James Webb Telescope and the Chandra Observatory have found a black hole estimated to be 13.2 billion years old.

If scientists’ calculations are correct, the black hole appeared approximately 470 million years after the Big Bang and is the oldest such object known to astronomy.

The size of the space object is approximately 10 times larger than the black hole Sagittarius A*, located in the center of the Milky Way.
