The Ukrainian prosecutor’s office transferred to the asset tracing and management agency (ARMA) the seized assets of a sanctioned enterprise worth more than UAH 170 million (about $4.7 million), which belongs to a Russian company. About it reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic.
“At the request of the prosecutors of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the court seized the property of the sanctioned enterprise, the founder of which is a Russian company, and the ultimate beneficial owner is the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation,” the statement says.
The property, funds placed in bank accounts and vehicles with a total value of more than UAH 170 million were seized.
The activities of the unnamed enterprise, as noted, are being investigated for involvement in “financing subversive activities against Ukraine, in particular for the creation and operation of intelligence cells in favor of a foreign state.”
In October, a trial in Ukraine arrested assets of Russian businessmen Mikhail Fridman, Peter Aven and Andrey Kosogov. On September 5, the SBU charged Fridman with helping the Russian army from the beginning of the special operation. The businessman, according to the Ukrainian intelligence service, invested about 2 billion rubles. to several military factories in Russia.
