“The possibility of an appeal exists”
At the end of August, actress Kristina Asmus published a record on her social networks, which was regarded as discrediting the RF Armed Forces, in connection with which a protocol was drawn up against her, and the artist was threatened with a fine. In mid-September, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow, at a closed session, decided to terminate the proceedings against Asmus due to the lack of corpus delicti. The artist’s lawyer Vladimir Lyakhovsky was convinced from the very beginning that this would be the result.
In conversation with Channel Five Lyakhovsky said that in his opinion, a legal decision was obtained in court, which is quite obvious in the current situation. It is noted that the publication of the artist, discrediting the Russian troops, was deleted after some time.
At the same time, the specialist does not exclude that the artist’s case can still be returned to court, since the announced court decision is subject to appeal. Lyakhovsky stressed that this could happen regardless of the current result.
The lawyer added that he notified his client about the result of the meeting by SMS, but has not yet received a response, since Asmus is currently busy filming.
