ASK volleyball players won only once in the starting round of the tournament for survival

Volleyball players from Nizhny Novgorod ASK continue to compete in the Super League for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod shows weak results during the 2023-2024 season, settling in the second half of the championship standings. Based on the results of 30 matches played in the regular season, ASK volleyball players were able to score only 16 points, taking 15th position. The red-blacks were only one point ahead of their rivals from Nizhnevartovsk, who closed the standings.
In the first round of the tournament for survival, Andrei Dranishnikov’s team played three matches and were able to complete the minimum task. In two of three matches, ASK volleyball players lost to opponents from Orenburg and Ufa. The red-blacks retained their 15th position due to the fact that they were able to beat their opponents from Nizhnevartovsk in a head-to-head meeting. So far, the red-blacks are in 15th place, sending them to the play-offs for the right to remain in the elite of Russian volleyball.
The start of the matches of the second round of the tournament for survival is scheduled for April 26.
