In Russian volleyball, the off-season continues, the teams have not yet returned from vacation, and the management is working on the transfer market, trying to strengthen the team, so that it performed better in the upcoming season. A volleyball club will continue to operate in Nizhny Novgorod, which will play in the Super League. Last season, ASK went through the first round of the playoffs, staying in the Russian Championship for almost three weeks longer than usual. In the off-season, ASK lost several leaders and the management had to assemble a new team.
On August 5, it became known that in the 2023-2024 season, Serbian setter Igor Jovanovich will play for the Nizhny Novgorod ASC.
The new ASC volleyball player last season played in the second division of the Italian Championship for Olimpia. Last season, Igor Jovanovic showed the third result in points scored among all players in his role. He played in 34 Italian league matches and scored 74 points.
