The Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov said that artifacts brought by participants in a special military operation (SVO) from Ukraine will appear in school museums. Also, according to him, the reasons for the SVO will be studied both in the 10th and 11th grades.
“We take those, including artifacts, that are brought today by the guys returning from the special military operation zone, we talk about the facts, this, of course, is the next stage, including the development of school museums of the Great Patriotic War,” said Sergey Kravtsov RIA Novosti.
Mr. Kravtsov also said that the reasons for the beginning of the SVO were included in the history program for schoolchildren in both the 10th and 11th grades. “You know, we can say that in many respects the 11th grade, because a special military operation, by and large, did not begin on February 24th. The reasons for the start of a special military operation are much earlier and much deeper. This is actually an attempt at a split by the United States of America as well. It cannot be said here that one or two hours is actually the 11th grade, and partly the 10th grade, ”— said He.
Sergey Kravtsov also showed RIA Novosti the manuscript of a 10th grade history textbook. According to the agency, it is dedicated to the period from 1914 to 1945.
In 2022, the authorities announced work on new history textbooks for schoolchildren with sections on Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. From September 1, 2023, schools will receive textbooks for schoolchildren in grades 10–11. Sergey Kravtsov saidthat manuals for schoolchildren in grades 5-9 will be ready next year.
