Artamonov announced the promotion of PMC “Wagner” equipment in the Lipetsk region

In the Lipetsk region, the technique of PMC “Wagner” is moving forward, informed Governor of the region Igor Artamonov.

“The technique of PMC Wagner is moving across the territory of the Lipetsk region. Law enforcement agencies and authorities, including those in municipalities, are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the population. The situation is under control,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

He reminded residents of the recommendation not to leave their homes and refuse to travel by transport. “I understand all the inconveniences, but I earnestly ask you to help us and follow these recommendations,” Artamonov said.

Formerly operational headquarters of the Lipetsk region recommended residents to stay at home and refrain from traveling by any means of transport. The same recommendation gave the head of the administration of Rostov-on-Don Alexei Logvinenko.

Earlier, against the backdrop of statements by the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin, the authorities of the Rostov, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Kursk regions, as well as Moscow and the Moscow region, announced anti-terrorist measures. Restrictions began to be introduced on federal highways, and mass events are also canceled.

On the evening of June 23, in social networks associated with Prigozhin, on his behalf, it was announced about a missile attack on one of the Wagner rear camps. The Ministry of Defense stated that reports of attacks on Wagner PMC fighters are not true and are an “information provocation.” The Investigation Department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case on the organization of an armed rebellion against Prigozhin.
