The Tula football club “Arsenal” was able to set a new club record for the “gunsmiths” for the number of matches that were played without conceding goals in a row. The team’s players tied with Tyumen; for them and goalkeeper Nikita Kokarev, this was the eighth meeting in a row without conceding goals.

The Gunsmiths conceded their last own goal in the away match against Alania Vladikavkaz (the match score was 1:1). After that, the Tula team did not concede goals at all in meetings with Rodina (1:0), as well as Saratov Sokol (3:0), Krasnoyarsk Yenisei (2:0), and in addition, Chelny KAMAZ ( 2:0), Novorossiysk Chernomorets (2:0), and finally, Krasnodar Kuban, Astrakhan Volgar and Tyumen (all ended in a draw with a score of 0:0).

This is the longest series of matches of Tula teams in the championships of the Soviet Union and Russia at all levels.

The team’s goalkeeper Nikita Kokarev can only keep a clean sheet in the first two minutes of the next match to set an absolute record for the duration of a dry streak in minutes. The current highest achievement is 757 minutes, it was staged back in 2003 by Maxim Klikin. Kokarev now has an almost complete record of 756 minutes.
